Access Statement for Meadow Barn

Pre Arrival
Meadow Barn has a comprehensive website which covers all aspects of the accommodation and is also listed on South Shropshire Tourism.

Arrival and Car Parking Facilities
The approach to Meadow Barn is off a quiet private driveway leading only to Meadow Barn and Little Sutton Farmhouse. On reaching Meadow Barn there is ample parking for three to four vehicles immediately outside of the property, the parking area is graveled and access into the property is made through the front porch way.

Security lighting is in place and also further outside lighting overlooks the parking area.

Main Entrance and Reception Area
The main entrance to Meadow Barn is located at the front of the property, access is through a level paved porch way with just a slight step over the threshold. On entering Meadow Barn the main room which consists of the kitchen, dining area and seating/reading area is all on the level and has excellent access to all facilities. The flooring is solid oak throughout.

Off the main room there are two other rooms, the first being the downstairs bedroom and shower room. There are three wide carpeted stairs to the bedroom, with a hand rail to the right-hand side, and again everything is then on one level. The bedroom is carpeted throughout and the shower room next to it is tiled. Someone who is less able bodied should find they are able to enjoy the main accommodation very easily and would only have to negotiate three steps to sleeping and bathroom facilities.

Stairs and Landing
Off the main reception room there are two further bedrooms located upstairs together with a bathroom and en-suite shower room. Access to these rooms are via the staircase which is completely carpeted, a wooden banister runs the full length of the stairs.

The landing at the top of the stairs leads into the two bedrooms and bathrooms. The flooring from the landing to the bedrooms is solid oak and the bathroom and shower room are tiled. Access to the en-suite shower room through the master bedroom is via two steps down, these are wide oak steps and the only steps on the first floor.

Sitting Room
The sitting room is entered again off the main reception room as you enter Meadow Barn, three wide wooden steps together with a wooden hand rail to the left-hand side give you access to the sitting room, the flooring being solid oak. A less able person should find they can access it without too much difficulty.

Garden and Grounds
Meadow Barn has a large level garden area mainly laid to lawn which overlooks the open countryside, there is also a level paved patio area with garden table and ample seating together with parasol. A garden bench is also placed on the lawn to take advantage of the open views, also within the garden area is a gazebo which again is ideally placed, an ideal spot to sit and enjoy uninterrupted views over the surrounding countryside. Access generally throughout the garden at Meadow Barn is all level.
